I’ve been a hunter since the age of 12, and we all know how starting that young affected me. Here we are, many years later and back in my mother land, watching some of tomorrows generation learn how to attune to their environment and make a connection to what they eat.
We take a trip to Denmark and join the non-for-profit group, NatureWise, on a hunt with a future generation.
This organisation’s mission is to develop children’s nature identity. To gain an understanding of hunting, angling and mother nature. They learn to harvest and cook from natures pantry- plants, fish and wild game- while respecting and embracing the abundance it provides.
Todays children spend half the time playing outside in comparison to their parents.
The above statement has been true for quite some time now and the separation to nature is only growing with the evolution of a technologically driven society.
I deeply believe in learning about and respecting our planet and all who inhabit it.
